According to Reuters, cable TV operator Virgin Media is to launch a "ground breaking" unlimited music download subscription service through a partnership with the world's largest music company, Universal. As part of the arrangement, Virgin said it would also work to help prevent piracy on its network by educating users and would, as a last resort for persistent offenders, suspend Internet access, although no customers would be permanently disconnected.On the eve of the publication of the Digital Britain report, maybe this is a signal that at least some ISPs are no longer willing to condone or tacitly support piracy?
