The 1709 Blog learned from Glyn Wintle earlier today that over 9,000 people had signed the Number 10 petition against the Digital Economy Bill in the last two days. He says:
"People are particularly upset about the three strikes provision but there are several bad things in the bill".Someone's definitely upset. By the time this blog was posted the tally of signatories had risen to 14,860. The closing date for signing up is 20 October 2010, which is four and a half months after the latest date on which the next General Election will be held.
Glyn also sent in a link to the Open Rights Group briefing: Illicit P2P file sharing.
